Mages are a unique class in Epic Seven, having a great balance between damage and utility.

Most mages have forms of CC in their kit, applying various debuffs to supplement their damage.

They’re perfect with offensive items that also grant effectiveness.

With access to great artifacts like Kal’adra & Crimson Moon of Nightmares, there’s plenty of ways to include a mage in your favorite team setup.

I’ll be going through the 10 best mages in Epic Seven.

These heroes are some of the best for PvP & PvE, consult your hero list to see if you have any of them!

10. Mistychain

Attribute: Ice

Recommended Set: Crit Chance/Crit Damage

How to get: 3* Covenant Summon

Skills

VampirismCurse of BansheeLife Drain
Claws the enemy absorbing some of the damage to heal all allies.Casts a spell at the enemy with a 80% chance to make them unhealable and decrease Attack for 2 turns.Burn Effect: Increases damage dealt.

Attacks by absorbing the enemy’s life force. Some of the damage dealt is absorbed to heal all allies. When the enemy is defeated, grants revive to the ally with the lowest Health for 2 turns.

Summary

The best budget DPS/debuffer you can get for Wyvern.

Mistychain is an easily obtainable 3* hero to include alongside a defense breaker, tank & primary DPS.

Wyvern deals significantly reduced damage when it has 3 or more debuffs, and a ton of damage is required to bypass its shield.

Mistychain has little use outside of Wyvern though, so you can replace her when you get a better Ice hero, like Sigret.

Attribute: Fire

Recommended Set: Attack/Effectiveness

How to get: Specialty Change

Skills

SwingFlame Barrier (Passive)Blaze Explosion
Attacks with a staff, with a 35% chance to decrease Speed for 2 turns, before detonating burn effects inflicted on the enemy at the end of the turn. After being attacked, grants the caster a barrier for 1 turn and burns the attacker for 1 turn. Barrier effect can only be activated once per turn, and barrier strength increases proportional to the caster’s Attack.Burn Effect: Grants an extra turn.

Upon being attacked, she’ll grant herself a barrier and apply the burn debuff.

Innate tankiness allows her to invest fully into attack, increasing the damage of her burns.

8. Luluca

Attribute: Ice

Recommended Set: Speed/Effectiveness

Wild WaveReko’s BlessingWave of Vengeance

7. Politis

Attribute: Fire

Recommended Set: Speed/Immunity

How to get: 5* Covenant Summon

Skills

Call of the StarsAstral Guide (Passive)Starfall

Attacks all enemies with alien technology, with a 75% chance each to decrease Hit Chance and make them unable to be buffed for 2 turns.

Summary

Politis is simply a counter to certain PvP builds.

Many teams employ specific heroes to buff combat readiness to allow the main DPS units to put more stats into attack/crit, rather than speed.

Challenger Dominiel is a great example of this, but Politis can basically nullify her abilities.

Even then, Politis will significantly reduce any buffs granted by non-attack skills.

Not every team will employ these tactics but if they do, Politis is an insta-win!

6. Tenebria

Attribute: Fire

Recommended Set: Crit Chance/Crit Damage

How to get: 5* Covenant Summon

Skills

Dark ExplosionOminous ThunderNightmare
Attacks with an explosion of dark energy, with a 60% chance to put them to sleep for 1 turn. When the enemy is put to sleep, the caster’s Combat Readiness increases by 50%. Her base stats are very high, so simply build her for full damage and she’ll power through Adventure mode, while providing a high DPS hero for PvP.

2. Auxiliary Lots

How to get: 4* Moonlight Summon

Skills

Black MagicMana InjectionDesolation
Attacks with a magic sphere, increasing caster’s Combat Readiness by 15%.Injects an ally with mana, increasing Attack for 2 turns and increasing Combat Readiness by 80%, before granting the caster increased Attack for 2 turns and a 30% increase in Combat Readiness.Burn Effect: Grants an extra turn.

Attacks all enemies by releasing strong Mana, with a 50% chance to silence for 2 turns.

Summary

Fielding a powerful skill set for dominating all aspects of Epic Seven, Auxiliary Lots is the perfect partner for a powerful DPS.

If you’re able to give him enough speed to go first in the majority of PvP battles, use his skill 2 to make sure your DPS goes next, with an attack buff.

It’s a great strategy to provide fast wins.

He’s also great against bosses in Abyss, Hell Raid & Expeditions as they all need a ton of DPS to get through successfully.

1. Dizzy

Attribute: Ice
