10 Best Swords in Final Fantasy XIV

They are a various amount of weapons to choose from in the hit online RPG, Final Fantasy XIV. However, the weapon very much depends on the class that you want to become. For each class, there are numerous weapons types they can wield, which are ideally suited for that class. Putting a staff in the hands of the tank or DPS, doesn’t seem like such a good idea, does it?

Swords are only usable by Gladiator and by Paladins, ones a DPS class, and the other a back up healer/tank. Though these weapons might not be the best in terms of damage output, they instead hit more often than the other weapons, so it balances out nicely.

Swords also tend to have added stats geared towards, Determination, which affects damage dealt and healing gained, and Tenacity is the same but is only for tanks.

10. Deepshadow Sword

The name itself is pretty epic by itself and is a damn sword. However, this Sword is more for Gladiators. Players have to be Level 80 and have an Item Level of 460 to wield this blade. It has a Physical Damage of 120, an Auto-attack of 88.85. The added stats of the weapon are +359 Strength, +378 Vitality, +320 Critical Hit and +224 Determination. You can get this weapon by a Merchant called Fathard, in Eulmore Aetheryte Plaza.

9. Misos

This blade is better in the hands of a Paladin. Players have to be Level 80 and have an Item Level of 465. It has a Physical Damage of 120, an Auto-attack of 89.60. The added stats of the weapon are +369 Strength, +391 Vitality, +325 Determination and a 228+ Tenacity. You can get this weapon by a Merchant called Fathard, in Eulmore Aetheryte Plaza. Or by getting it a drop by completing the Duty: The Minstrel’s Ballad: Hades’s Elegy.

8. Augmented Deepshadow Sword

This weapon might sound familiar, but it’s the better Sword than its brother the Deepshadow Sword. Players have to be Level 80 and have an Item Level of 470. It has a Physical Damage of 121, an Auto-attack of 90.34. The added stats of the weapon are +379 Strength, +404 Vitality, +330 Critical Hit and a +231 Determination. This has to be the dumbest post I've ever seen. You are literally just ranking weapons by item level. "This blade is better in the hands of a Paladin." Yeah, no shit! Swords are only for Paladins and Gladiators! This could have been at least somewhat interesting if you ranked it by glow effect or design. But you are literally just saying "this sword has a higher item level than the one below it".

"Players have to be Level 80 and have an Item Level of 505" Uhhhh no, you just have to be level 80. You do know you don't already have to be that that item level to use them, right? Something tells me you don't play FFXIV lmao. Stick to writing what you know hon. Maybe it won't be as braindead.

This is one of the very few out-sourced articles on the site, I've never played Final Fantasy XIV! Will look at updating the article, or just removing it if I can't.
