Warriors are some of the most awesome cards in the entire game, they don’t need big combos or the ability to breathe fire, just a weapon and some determination. You may one day seek to create a Warrior deck devoid of archetypes, a collection of your best warriors all in one place. These decks are really fun but you should know which warriors to look out for, here’s a list of the 10 best Warrior monsters in Yugioh!

10. D.D Warrior Lady
The ability to banish an opponent’s monster cannot be understated. In a Warrior deck full of high ATK monsters, you’ll need something that can get your rival’s best card banished. D.D Warrior Lady is perfect for this, she gets around a lot of ‘cannot be destroyed’ effects as she just straight up banishes it. Definitely a needed card in a Warrior deck.
9. Marauding Captain
A must-have in any Warrior deck really, Marauding Captain allows you summon another warrior monster after you summon it. This is great for getting your warriors out, also if you have two of them on the field, your opponent can’t even attack!
No doubt you, like every other player, have a million of these cards lying around. Put 3 in your Warrior deck!
8. Numeral Hunter
More of a situational card but in those situations, it can be game-breaking. Almost every deck runs some Number monsters so having this as an option can put your Warrior deck up a notch. It’s also decent against any kind of XYZ monsters which are so prevalent nowadays. With decent ATK/DEF and awesome art, Numeral Hunter has to make the cut.
7. Amazoness Sage
Amazoness Sage is a nightmare for the opponent when she’s given some protection. An equip spell will boost her attack to prevent her from being killed and her effect is insanely strong, especially when used with something like Assault Armor. She’s a staple in any Warrior deck.
6. Millennium Shield
Going all-out attack is fine but you need one or two cards that can protect you if need be. Millennium Shield is an awesome defensive warrior monster, one tribute is all that’s needed to get a monster that will stall your opponent for a few turns. You also have the option of equipping it with something like Magnum Shield to make your opponent rage quit. You can skip this if you don’t want any defensive cards but it’s worth putting Millennium Shield in the deck, just to have that option.
5. The Immortal Bushi
Arguably the least known card on this list, The Immortal Bushi is an awesome monster that needs to be in any warrior deck. Just having that option to summon it from the graveyard is huge, it can be used as XYZ material, a tribute summon etc. It’s ATK/DEF aren’t that great, you don’t want to waste equip spells or protection traps on it but if it gets destroyed, it can just come back anyway.
4. Valkyrian Knight
This card is awesome all over, with a number of benefits for using it. The high ATK stat for its level is nothing to be sniffed at, it can hold its own in battle. If it does get destroyed, you can summon a level 5 or higher Warrior monster from your graveyard, such as Millennium Shield. It also protects your weaker monsters by being the only one your opponent can attack. It also looks awesome and has a cool name.
3. Twin-Sword Marauder
Do you want to have no friends? Because if you use this card, you will have no friends. Twin-Sword Marauder is an absolute beast, it rips through defense position monsters and deals heavy damage, especially when equipped with ATK boosting equip spell cards. It is a bit situational though, as you need defense position monsters on your opponent’s side of the field but the fact he can win you the game whenever the opponent does have defense monsters means he deserves a high spot on the list.
2. Total Defense Shogun
Quite an old card but it still holds up today. Total Defense Shogun is a mix between offense and defense. You can tribute your Immortal Bushi for this, equip it with Magnum Shield & Assault Armor for an OTK if your opponent has no cards to stop the attacks. But it works great defensively too, having a high DEF monster to protect you is surprisingly useful in a Warrior deck.
1. Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning
This card was forbidden for so long, the summoning conditions are so easy to obtain and his effects are godly. Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning is by far the best Warrior monster in the game. He may not fit smoothly into a non-archetype Warrior deck though, but you should find a way to add both Light and Dark monsters so you can insert this card into the deck.
